Heatlh Insurance for You & Your Family

Many people think that all health insurance is expensive and many people also think that if you don't get it through work, that you simply can't get it. Both of these assumptions are simply not true. While many people get health insurance through their employer, many other people are able to obtain affordable health insurance on their own.

Many of the same health insurance companies that employers use to provide their employees with health insurance also offer individual health insurance plans for people like you and me. Health insurance is something that is very important to have because you never know when you are going to suffer an unexpected injury, come down with a cold or other virus, or develop a more serious illness. When you have health insurance, these events are far less likely to hurt you financially. For instance, if you come down with a virus, illness, or suffer a painful injury, there is a chance that you may need or be prescribed medication or even require a hospital stay/medical services. Without health insurance, medications and health-related services can be quite expensive. When you have health insurance, however, your plan will typically cover a large portion of the cost of your medication or services, so that you only have to pay a small portion of the total cost (usually less than $20 for medications).
